Meet Caryn Walton-Binns
Hi I’m Caryn, I’ve been with the York branch of Drama Kids for almost 18 years, 11 of them as Principal. I also teach the Wigginton classes.
It is my absolute joy to watch children grow in Confidence, Creativity and Performance Skills; to see so many smiles and laughter as they communicate in real life rather than glued to a screen.
I firmly believe that every child needs to be valued and nurtured as an individual – in our classes there is huge encouragement and absolutely no pressure.
I started attending drama classes at the age of 10 and even went on stage as Guy Fawkes last summer when a student dropped out close to the performance to support the class - I learned the lines and LOVED it!
I have a BA (Hons) in English from the University of Durham and LAMDA Acting Grade VI . My husband, Jon, is very involved in Drama Kids and is responsible for designing and building the sets for the summer productions.
