Meet Caryn Walton-Binns
Hi I’m Caryn, I’ve been with the York branch of Drama Kids for almost 18 years, 11 of them as Principal.
It is my absolute joy to watch children grow in Confidence, Creativity and Performance Skills; to see so many smiles and laughter as they communicate in real life rather than glued to a screen.
I firmly believe that every child needs to be valued and nurtured as an individual – in our classes there is huge encouragement and absolutely no pressure.
CLASS TEACHER: KIEREN HARDY
Kieren has been making stories for as long as he can remember, directing and producing his first feature length play at 15! He has a degree in film production from the University for the Creative Arts and graduated in July 2022.
Since graduating, Kieren has worked as a children's drama teacher with Northern Performing Arts, Performatots and Drama Kids - alongside running Tangent Media Ltd, focusing on family-friendly Youth Theatre Education.
Kieren has directed shows with The Easingwold Players, including Jungle Book and is currently about to work on a Shane Meadows film as part of the production team.
Kieren has so much creative energy and enthusiasm if you could bottle it he'd make millions! And he cares about every child he teachers.
