At the tender age of 11 Louise gained a sought after place at the world famous Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts main school in London,
The wealth of training from, amongst others, Patricia Prime, Bonnie Lythgoe, Pat Dennison and Gary Lloyd alongside the experience of working as a child in Television and Theatre helped Louise to graduate at the age of 18 with flying colours and professional teaching qualifications with the ISTD in Ballet, Tap and Modern dance.

Louise’s love for teaching was always there throughout her extensive performing career and after teaching for various dance schools founded the very successful Lucie Benson School of Dance with Vanessa Lucie in 2005. There she co-produced wonderful shows at the Epsom Playhouse and various ‘in house’ productions alongside great examination success. Starting with just a handful of pupils, by the time Louise had her baby in 2014 they had hundreds of pupils and many went on to full time performing arts colleges including Urdang, Performers, Stella Mann and Masters.

After having her little boy Louise wanted to spend more time with her family and founded Lucie Benson School of Dance (Bromley) now renamed as Louise Benson School of Dance. She is very excited to bring her experience of the arts and teaching to the children of West Wickham and help nurture their love of performing.
