Singing, dancing and drama classes for children aged 4–18 in Stevenage.
Theatretrain gives children the chance to enjoy all three performing arts in one weekly session, while building confidence, making friends and being part of a group.
Some children arrive ready to jump straight in. Others need a little time to watch, settle and work out what’s going on first. We’re very used to both.
Minis, ages 4–5
A 90-minute session with 30 minutes each of singing, dancing and drama.
Main Company, ages 6–18
A full three-hour session with one hour each of singing, dancing and drama.
No audition and no previous experience is needed.

Alongside weekly classes, students also have opportunities to perform in full-scale productions in professional theatres.
If you’re wondering whether Theatretrain would suit your child, the best way to find out is to let them experience a normal session for themselves.

Taster sessions are ÂŁ25 for 6-18yrs and ÂŁ15 for 4-5yrs. If you decide to join fees are paid termly and from the 2nd term you have the option of signing up for our Monthly Direct Debit option.

Meet Geraldine Hyman
Geraldine Hyman runs Theatretrain in Hitchin, Letchworth and Stevenage, providing weekly performing arts training for children and teenagers aged 4–18.
With over 20 years of experience in children’s theatre education, she is passionate about creating a safe, structured and ambitious environment where young people can grow in confidence, creativity and self-belief.
Geraldine believes that performing arts training builds far more than stage skills.
Through drama, singing and dance, students develop communication, resilience and teamwork kids build skills that support them both in school and beyond.
Her centres are known for their warm, family atmosphere and high-quality productions in professional venues.
