Our Tuesday 11am baby class in Elworth is a gentle, welcoming introduction to signing, sensory play, music and communication for babies from birth to around 14 months or walking.

Happy Little Signers teaches signs based on British Sign Language (BSL) alongside spoken words. Babies begin understanding language long before they can say their first words, and giving them visual communication alongside the words they hear can support their developing understanding and give them another way to communicate as they grow.

During our baby signing classes in Elworth, you’ll learn practical signs you can use throughout everyday life, including milk, more, finished, food, animals and family. We introduce them through songs, repetition and play, so there’s no studying or pressure to remember everything!

Our sessions at St Peter’s Church Hall also include sensory experiences specially chosen for young babies. Depending on the week, you might find bubbles, scarves, lights, parachutes, music, sensory props and lots of opportunities for your baby to watch, listen and explore.

And if your baby sleeps through half the class? That’s absolutely fine. Babies are still taking in sounds and language while resting, and you can learn the signs to use later at home. Feeding, changing, cuddling and moving around are always welcome.
