Meet Olivia Medlock
Hi! I’m Olivia, the Principal of PQA Rugby.
My passion for performing came from a young age. I was always a very shy little girl and Performing Arts gave me the confidence to be who I am today. The arts aren’t just about being on stage, it’s about the confidence-building and life skills it can give your children.
I studied at De Montfort University for 3 years after completing a 2-year qualification at college. I also went on to do my teacher's degree in Birmingham.
After university, I went and taught in America at one of the camps. This taught me valuable lessons of working with children and directing huge shows with little time. Since then I have previously run my own independent theatre school, DBA Theatre for 8 years. I have also run my own companies in the events and entertainment industry such as singing princesses and tributes to the Spice Girls! I worked as a teacher in a variety of schools specialising in Performing Arts, English & SEN.
Having worked across the local PQAs for 11 years as a cover teacher and my theatre school closing, I knew this was the right step for me to take in my career.
At PQA Rugby you can grow your confidence and self-esteem, enhance your communication, team building; speech and language skills and develop movement and coordination. And that's without the amazing performances and films you will produce!
At PQA we are one big family, and I can guarantee that PQA Rugby is an enthusiastic, fun, and inspiring place to be!
I can’t wait to meet you all!
