Theatretrain Cringleford offers fun and supportive performing arts classes for children aged 5–11, every Wednesday from 4.30–6pm at Cringleford Primary School.
Our 90-minute Theatretrain Express class brings acting, singing and dancing together in one energetic weekly session. Children learn and perform as a group while building confidence, creativity and performance skills.
No previous experience or audition is required – children are welcome whether they are completely new to performing arts or already love being on stage.
Each 90-minute session includes acting, singing and dancing, with children exploring drama games, improvisation, songs, vocal work, routines and choreography. Sessions are designed to be fun and engaging while helping children develop confidence, creativity, communication, coordination and teamwork. Children work together as one group, making friends and developing their performing arts skills in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
Performance is an important part of Theatretrain, with opportunities for students to put the skills they develop each week into practice through local performances and showcases.
Students can also have opportunities to take part in additional Theatretrain workshops and projects throughout the year.
We run performing arts workshops during the school holidays too, including October half term, Easter and the summer holidays.

Meet Hayley Roberts
Theatretrain Cringleford is run and taught by Hayley Roberts, who launched the Cringleford class in October 2023. Hayley has an MA from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and personally leads the weekly Theatretrain Express sessions.
Hayley creates a fun and supportive environment where children can enjoy acting, singing and dancing together, build their confidence and develop their performing arts skills at their own pace.
Children of all experience levels are welcome, from those trying performing arts for the first time to those who already love being on stage.
