At ARTventurers, we believe creativity should be BIG, BOLD and bursting with fun! Our multi award-winning classes are specially designed for babies, toddlers and children to explore, learn, develop and grow through the magic of art and creative play.
Each week is a brand-new ARTventure!
From exploring paint and clay to immersive hands-on process art activities and experimenting with new materials and techniques, no two classes are ever the same. We love to create and play while sparking imaginations, developing confidence and making lots of messy memories along the way.
Our classes are more than just paint and glitter – they’re a safe, welcoming space where little ones can experiment, create and discover the joy of making, while grown-ups can relax, connect and share the fun. From our dedicated Baby Art programme to our classes for preschoolers and beyond, whether it’s your baby’s very first handprint artwork or your toddler proudly showing off their rainbow creation, every class is packed with opportunities to learn, laugh and celebrate those special moments together and you'll leave with armfuls of creations and masterpieces to treasure.
We run classes and workshops for a wide range of different age groups , from tiny artists through to older creators, so grab a paintbrush (or your hands!) and come join the ARTventurers family – where every splash of paint tells a story and every child is an artist in the making!💛🌈
Our ARTventurers website contains lots of printable and downloadable resources to help you to continue the #artventurersfun at home - and the great thing is that you don't have to come along to our usual ARTventurers classes to use them, as the resources are available to all!

Meet Danielle
Hi, I’m Danielle...born and bred in Wakey, and living in Castleford for the past 9 years! 👋🎨
Art has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. After studying Art and Education at uni in Lincoln, I trained as a secondary school art teacher. My teaching career took me through primary and secondary schools, and even 5 years in a prison, teaching 15–18 year-old young offenders!
I loved being in the classroom (apart from the endless paperwork, targets, Ofsted inspections and meetings- teachers, I know you feel me! 🙈), but life changed when I had my daughter Marley in 2018. Going back after maternity leave just didn’t feel right. I’d loved going to classes and groups with Marley, and when I discovered ARTventurers, I knew I’d found my new adventure!
I became a franchisee just as the first lockdown hit, and what a rollercoaster it’s been! After 18 months of hiring various halls and venues, in February 2022 I opened my own creative space, ARTspace in Normanton, and my husband Mark joined me in the business (after recovering from a spinal op and leaving his job as an electrician). You’ll often spot him at the counter or busy behind the scenes keeping everything running smoothly.
Art and creativity have always been my passion, but nothing compares to watching babies and children squish, splat, and swirl paint without a care in the world. Every colour, texture, and theme in our classes is carefully chosen, and I love seeing families explore, play, and create beautiful memories together.
