Performing arts classes for boys and girls aged 3 to 18 years and adults. Glenlyn Academy is London's leading pre-vocational performing arts school. All of our classes and courses are recognised by the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT).
For over 80 years Glenlyn Academy has offered unparalleled opportunities and classes for young people across London. Students at Glenlyn Academy can take classes in Musical Theatre, Acting, Singing, Ballet, Tap, Technical Jazz, Commercial, Acrobatics and Street Jazz.
With a faculty of 15 permanent members of staff, Glenlyn Academy's teachers are among the most experienced in the performance training industry. As well as our teachers, students and parents are supported by team of administrative, clerical and pastoral care staff.
The GA Virtual Studio gives students the opportunity to train in the performing arts from home. Using a unique combination of live classes, on demand videos, a library of theory and knowledge resources, students receive a bespoke online training experience. The GA Virtual Studio allows students and parents to log in securely and receive content that is uniquely designed for them. Through our partnership with Google, students are given access to Google Classroom to access content on demand to enhance their learning experience and Google Meets for secure live classes designed exclusively for GA students.

Classes run six days a week at Glenlyn Academy, in the evenings and at weekends. The school will provide you with a selection of class times to choose from.

A full terms classes start from £79.00 for one class per week. Full price details will be supplied based on your child's age and previous experience.

Meet Ben Briscoe
As the Academy’s Vice-Principal & Creative Director, Ben is responsible for overseeing the artistic and strategic development of the Academy. An accomplished Director, Musical Director, Choreographer, Producer and Examiner. Ben has worked extensively in both theatre and television.
Ben joined the Academy in 2005, teaching the only three Musical Theatre, Drama and Singing Classes at the school. This has now increased to more than 50 classes a week with the majority of students now taking classes in these disciplines.
Ben is responsible for directing all of the Academy’s productions, which over the last five years has included performances in the West End and at The O2. Ben has also overseen the setup and development of the Glenlyn Academy Management Agency.
As an Examiner for LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), Ben travels across the country assessing students in Acting and Musical Theatre. Ben is also a member of the LAMDA Performance Syllabus Review Board and the LAMDA Acting Diploma Review and Assessment Board.
Ben graduated from Lancaster University – the country’s leading Theatre Studies institution – with an Honours degree in Contemporary Theatre Studies in 2005. He is also a qualified dance teacher having gained the Licentiate Qualification (Distinction) in both Jazz and Tap.
