Tot Bop Dance Classes for children aged 1-9 are at Pages Park Pavilion in Leighton Buzzard every Saturday morning in term time. Tot Bop provides fun, funky & imaginative dance and creative movement classes for younger children aged 1-9. Our classes are designed to give boys and girls an accessible, inspiring and educational introduction to dance, where learning and fun are delivered in equal measures. Our syllabus is underpinned with EYFS (Early Years Foundations Stages) framework.
Our Tiny Tots class for children aged 1-2.5 focuses on providing a fun and engaging introduction to music, movement and rhythm. There is a strong emphasis on rhythm, moving to the beat and copying actions and movement patterns with the help of our fun puppets, props, parachute and bubbles!
Our Baby Boppers class for children aged 2.5 - rising 5 introduces the structure of a dance class in a fun and inspiring way, with warm-ups, 'make a shape' stretch, centre and travelling step routines, music section, storytime and the Tot Bop boogie, where even the grown ups get up and dance! We finish our class with our sensory cool down with scarves and bubbles.
Our Funky Monkeys class for children aged 3.5-5 (preschool & reception year) follows the same structure as the Baby Boppers class but increases slightly in challenge in line with age and development. There is a focus on school readiness, with frequent links to numbers, counting, shapes, colours, lefts & rights and other landmarks outlined in EYFS guidelines. All still super fun & engaging with lots of funky music, props and energy!
Our Groovy Movers class for children aged 5-9 (school years 1-4) introduces more techniques, steps and knowledge into the jazz class. Children now learn a choreographed routine as well as the favourites of our Tot Bop structure, such as the music section and Tot Bop boogie.

Meet Rachel Kenning
Rachel is the founder, director and franchisor of Tot Bop. Mum of two, she lives with her husband & 2 children in Bedfordshire. Rachel has over 20 years teaching experience to children and adults of all ages and is passionate about inspiring children and making dance accessible to all.
Dance has always played a huge part in Rachel’s life. Rachel was lucky enough to be inspired at an early age by an incredible teacher, setting the stage for a lifetime of dance. She went on to train for 3 years at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, gaining both performing and teaching qualifications, before embarking on a wonderful and fulfilling professional performing career in dance, performing in a variety of musical theatre and jazz dance productions in the UK and worldwide. Rachel then transitioned into professional choreography and eventually teaching.
Rachel taught for 12 years at Tring Park School For The Performing Arts on the full time dance faculty, teaching jazz and tap to 8-19 year olds. While there, she furthered her teaching qualifications, honed her teaching and choreographic skills and worked among a team of hugely skilled and inspiring, like minded dance professionals, developing additional skills such as management and course writing/development.
When babies made an appearance in Rachel’s life, she decided to use her skills in a different way and developed a programme for younger children that could deliver the fundamentals of dance in a way that inspires a lifelong love of movement, while also giving children the educational building blocks needed to start their dance journey. Tot Bop was born!
Since it’s humble beginnings, Tot Bop has grown to deliver in-person classes to thousands of families, provide classes for educational settings such as nurseries, preschools, schools and SEND specific settings and is an online resource to parents/carers nationwide.
