Does your child love performing—or need a little encouragement to step into the spotlight?
Young Actors Academy offers Acting and Musical Theatre classes for ages 4–18 at Stafford Leys Primary School in Leicester Forest East.
Our Saturday classes combine professional training with a welcoming atmosphere, giving young people space to try ideas, develop their skills and make friends.
🎭 Acting | Ages 7–11 and 12–18
Explore scripts, create characters and rehearse for productions. Students develop their voice, movement and stagecraft while learning to listen, collaborate and perform with confidence.
🎶 Musical Theatre | Ages 7–11 and 12–18
Bring acting, singing and movement together. Students learn to tell stories through songs, develop their performance skills and work as an ensemble.
⭐ Little Performers | Ages 4–6
A playful introduction to drama, music and movement, with imaginative activities that encourage children to speak up, express themselves and join in.
Performance opportunities give students the chance to put their learning into practice and share their achievements with family and friends.
Whether your child already loves the stage or is trying something new, we help them build confidence and communication skills they can use beyond the rehearsal room.

Meet Claire
Young Actors Academy was founded in October 2023 by Claire Shardlow, a former Head of Performing Arts who trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Claire previously founded a theatre company that toured the UK and has extensive experience working with young performers, including directing productions of Les Misérables and West Side Story.
That experience shapes the Academy’s approach: professional training, thoughtful encouragement and opportunities for young people to put their skills into practice.
With Acting, Musical Theatre and Little Performers classes, alongside specialist LAMDA tuition in Acting and Speaking in Public, Young Actors Academy helps children and teenagers become confident performers and communicators.
Classes take place in Leicester Forest East and Ellistown, near Coalville, with one-to-one online tuition also available across the UK and internationally.
