Teacher-led messy play classes designed to support early development, creativity and confidence through purposeful play.
Led by an experienced teacher, every session is carefully planned to provide children with opportunities to explore, discover and learn through hands-on sensory experiences. Whilst little ones are busy scooping, pouring, mixing, painting and creating, they're also developing important skills including communication, confidence, fine motor strength, problem-solving and independence.
At Splat, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, curious and engaged. That's why our sessions are child-led, pressure-free and designed to encourage exploration at each child's own pace.
Each class includes a variety of themed messy play trays, sensory activities, playdough, painting and crafts, all thoughtfully created to support different areas of early development whilst keeping learning fun.
More than just a class, Splat is a welcoming community where children can build confidence, friendships and a love of learning through play, whilst parents enjoy quality time together and connect with other local families.

Meet Samantha
Hi, I'm Samantha, the owner of Splat Messy Play Wakefield & South Leeds.
As an experienced teacher and mum of two, I'm passionate about helping children learn, grow and thrive through play. Every session is carefully planned to provide opportunities for children to build confidence, creativity, communication skills and independence whilst having fun exploring a variety of sensory experiences.
I have experience working with children across the primary age range, including those with Special Educational Needs, and I believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn through play in a welcoming, supportive environment.
At Splat, our teacher-led sessions are designed to support early development through purposeful play. Whilst children are busy scooping, pouring, painting and exploring, they're also developing important skills such as fine motor control, problem-solving, language and social confidence.
Creating an inclusive and welcoming community is at the heart of everything I do. I love getting to know families throughout the term and watching little ones grow in confidence week after week.
Children with allergies are very welcome. All sessions are dairy, nut and egg free as standard. If your child has additional allergy requirements, please get in touch and I'll be happy to discuss how I can make activities accessible for them.
