At babyballet, we make learning to dance an unforgettable and magical experience – for you and your little star. From six months to six years, our babyballet classes will give your child the chance to dance, gain confidence and shine, in a fun, caring and supportive environment.
At babyballet, we offer four stages of ballet dance classes, for young children aged 6 months to 6 years, plus a tap dancing class for children over 3 years.
Our classes are a great way for parents and carers to meet up and make new friends too!
By learning through play, our qualified and welcoming teachers give babies, tots, toddlers, pre-schoolers and young children the chance to dance in their own unique way, having fun and making friends along the way. For your added reassurance, all our ballet lessons are linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFSF), making them the perfect activity choice for you and your child.
From 6 months the class is a very gentle introduction to the class environment. As the syllabus progresses the children in Tinies (18 months to 3 years) are encouraged to develop their movement and communication skills on their own but still with their grown-up close by. The basics of ballet are introduced through bespoke babyballet® songs, classic nursery rhymes, imaginative stories and musical instruments.
Our programme and syllabus has been carefully designed by leading preschool dance and ballet experts. Our classes provide the opportunity for babies and young children to learn to dance and develop key life skills in a healthy, sociable, caring and safe environment. babyballet is so much more than just a dance class and we can't wait to welcome you to our magical world.

Join babyballet for a three week trial for just £15. Subsequent classes are £6.50 for ballet and £3 for tap.

Meet Miss Alice
Miss Alice has been dancing from the age of 3 beginning with ballet at her local YMCA. She has since studied, performed and competed in a variety of different dance styles such as Contemporary, Tap, Modern, African, South Asian, Street, Salsa, Bachata and Jive.
With a BA in Dance Education and a MA in Arts and Cultural Management from Canterbury Christ Church University, Miss Alice prides herself in further reading around different dance and teaching styles as well as keeping up to date on child development. Miss Alice has been in a teaching role for the past 10 years and has performed in dance shows, musicals and theatre productions at a variety of different venues from the Quarterhouse in Folkestone and Hazlitt in Maidstone to the Shaftesbury theatre in London.
Teaching has always been a passion of Alice's and she enjoys nothing more than all of her teaching with an age range of 6 months with babyballet up to aged over 100! She first discovered babyballet in 2016 when she emailed to ask if there was any open positions and by luck there was! After falling in love with the ethos of the company and the classes Alice has now taken over the Folkestone franchise and is excited to bring the magic of babyballet to young children and their families.
