Boy or Girl, Tappy Toes toddler dance classes will greatly improve your child's coordination, motor skills and social skills, as well as challenge their imagination and creativity.
This class is designed for children aged 18 months all the way up to 4 years. It is very much a parent/carer participation class, but you will notice older dancers become increasingly independent as the term goes on.
Our Baby Ballet class, Tip Toes, which follows on from Tappy Toes, introduces your 3-5-year-olds to the world of ballet in a fun and imaginative way.
Our Teeny Toes class is our baby class, and runs for little ones from 6 months up to walking.
All Tappy Toes lesson plans have been created in accordance with the EYFS guidelines.

Meet Harriet
Harriet is passionate about inspiring little ones through music, movement and play. She trained at The Hammond, gaining a First-Class BA in Musical Theatre, before completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Theatre and Drama Facilitation at LIPA. Her career has taken her from teaching drama, dance and musical theatre in the UK and overseas, to using theatre to build confidence in prisons and mental health units.
Now a mum herself, Harriet brings warmth, energy and a nurturing approach to every class. She knows just how important those early years are and loves helping toddlers learn, grow and express themselves through dance. (Her own toddler keeps her on her toes as her toughest little dance critic!)
Harriet has been teaching Tappy Toes for last few years and is thrilled to be taking over as the new owner of Tappy Toes Colchester and Tendring. She can’t wait to welcome your little one to class.
