PQA Bristol Long Ashton is a performing arts school, located at Ashton Park School, every Saturday, offering performing arts sessions which combine acting, singing, dancing lessons, filming and comedy.
Our weekly sessions include Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young people aged 6 -18. At PQA Bristol Long Ashton, we are committed to delivering first-class performing arts sessions giving children the space to learn new skills, make friends, build self-belief, all in a safe and welcoming environment while they explore the world of performing arts.
The best part, there is no need to pick just one class, PQA's weekly three-hour sessions explore:
• Comedy & Drama class: your child will learn creative play, Improv and scriptwriting
• Musical Theatre class: your child will learn to sing, dance and act for theatre
• Film & Television class: your child will start to storyboard, screenwrite, film and act for television
Led by Principal Carly and a talented team of teachers, we're passionate about what we do, and we strongly believe that the important life skills your child gains at PQA - like confidence, resilience and communication - will stick with them throughout life!
We offer free taster sessions - book now via our website!

Meet Carly Bond
I grew up in Bristol and began musical theatre training from a young age. I loved the excitement of getting up on Saturday mornings to attend my local performing arts school, and I was constantly asking my mum for lifts to rehearsals for whatever show I was involved in! PQA has proudly been in Bristol for 17 wonderful years, and it’s a privilege to be leading four thriving academies in Bristol. I look forward to welcoming you to our PQA family very soon!
While studying Drama at university, I started directing young people in musicals and quickly realised I loved teaching just as much as performing! After working in London’s commercial theatre world, I found myself really missing the buzz of creating theatre with young people. So, I headed back to Oxford, completed my PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and spent many years as a Musical Theatre lecturer. Then in 2017 I had a lightbulb moment - I could combine my love for teaching, theatre, and running a business! That’s when I found PQA. I fell in love with what we’re all about - creativity, confidence, inclusivity, and giving every young person a chance to shine. Since 2018, I’ve grown to four academies in Bristol, bringing Performing Arts magic to as many young people as possible and helping them find their voice, their confidence, and their sparkle!
