Founded in 2005 in Manchester by Jo Fisher, Footlights is a UK network of children's stage schools offering weekly performing arts classes in acting, singing and dancing.
Footlights has grown from a single school in the North West to a nationwide community. We have schools across the UK including locations in London.
At the heart of everything we do is a supportive, inclusive environment where children and young people can build confidence, develop performance skills and feel part of something special. Whether they are stepping on stage for the first time or building on existing experience.
Footlights classes run on Saturday mornings during term time,with some schools running after school classes and many during offering holiday schools.

Tiny’s (3-4 years) 9.30am – 11.00am
Tiny’s (5-6 years) 11.30am – 1pm
Main School (7-18 years) 9.45am – 1pm

Meet Alex and Serena
We’re Alex and Serena, Co Directors of Footlights Bracknell. With years of experience in performing arts and working with children, from stage training and choreography to leading creative programmes in schools, we’ve seen how powerfully the arts can build confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.
We opened Footlights Bracknell to create a space where every child feels seen, supported and celebrated. A place to explore who they are, try new things and discover the joy of performing in a warm, high quality environment.
Footlights is the highlight of our week. Watching a shy child find their voice, seeing friendships grow, and witnessing those “I did it!” moments on stage is why we do what we do.
Our school is special because of our ethos: professional standards delivered with genuine, family focused warmth. Every child is known, championed and encouraged to shine with Footlights magic.
