Founded in 2005 in Manchester by Jo Fisher, Footlights is a UK network of children's stage schools offering weekly performing arts classes in acting, singing and dancing.
Footlights has grown from a single school in the North West to a nationwide community. We have schools across the UK including locations in London.
At the heart of everything we do is a supportive, inclusive environment where children and young people can build confidence, develop performance skills and feel part of something special. Whether they are stepping on stage for the first time or building on existing experience.
Footlights classes run on Saturday mornings during term time, with some schools running after school classes and many during offering holiday schools.

Meet Richard and Debbie
Richard and Debbie bring a wealth of professional experience and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive through performing arts at Footlights Worcester. As former professional performers and experienced educators, they have spent their careers working across theatre, television, film and education. Richard’s stage and screen credits include Cabaret, Equus, The Bill and Casualty, while Debbie performed professionally from an early age, appearing in Byker Grove before studying Drama at Liverpool University and performing in London’s West End.
Together, they created Footlights Worcester to provide a supportive, inclusive and inspiring environment where children can grow in confidence, creativity and friendships. What they love most is watching students develop both on and off the stage, discovering skills that will benefit them throughout life. With busy, energetic Saturday sessions led by specialist tutors, Footlights Worcester is proud to be ‘Not Just a Stage School’, helping every child feel valued, encouraged and inspired.
