Create your own Stop Motion Animation with filmmaker Caroline James. This one day workshop will see you put together your very own Stop Animation short up to 30 seconds long!
Using your imagination, you’ll learn how to get creative using just household objects and your smartphone (using the app ‘Stop Motion Studio’); leaving with a short animation film to show off to friends and family. Above all, expect to have plenty of fun in a supportive environment, and to make lots of friends!
WHAT TO BRING:
- Plenty of water in a water bottle. UP Studios is able to refill any water bottles throughout the day.
- A packed lunch
- Healthy snacks
If your child has any known food allergies, please disclose this to the workshop leader so we can ensure they don’t come into contact with anything that could cause a reaction.
- If necessary: medications - with instruction
Our staff leaders are trained in pediatric first aid. If you have sent medications with your child, please disclose this to the workshop leader, even if it is on their booking form, so we can be sure to provide the best care for your child(ren).
Participants are discouraged from bringing electronic devices, as they will be staying busy with plenty of fun activities! If your child does bring in a personal device or item, we ask that it remains in their belongings for their own security and the security of our other participants. Participants are responsible for personal property; we take no responsibility for lost or damaged items.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Clothing and shoes that are appropriate for some active movement during the day. It will likely get very hot in the building, so please prepare for this in your clothing choices!
COVID 19 SAFETY:
Covid restriction guidelines are due to be changing before the workshops, but we will still be making sure that all participants and staff are as safe as they can be. These measures will still be in place:
- Upon entering the building, hand sanitiser will need to be used.
- If you, or anyone you have been in contact with is showing signs of Covid 19 symptoms, you should not attend the workshop.
- If a student shows Covid 19 symptoms during the workshop, their parent/guardian will be called to pick them up immediately, and all surfaces will be cleaned. Other parents will be notified of the incident.
