Baby Sensory classes are designed to give your baby the best start in life through carefully created activities that stimulate the senses and support early learning and development. Each Baby Sensory session is backed by a detailed lesson plan that guides everything your baby touches, sees, hears, smells, and feels.
Our classes introduce simple and practical ideas for creative play, baby massage, tummy time, movement, visual development, textures, scents, and music. These activities can be easily repeated at home, helping parents support learning outside the class.
Baby Sensory uses a unique mix of original and traditional baby songs and rhymes to encourage early speech and language skills. Sensory signing activities help you and your baby communicate from birth, building confidence and connection.

Classes run weekly during term times, on Tuesdays in Sholing and on Thursdays in Woolston. Classes at the following times: 9:30-10:30 for babies from 6 to 13 months, 10:50-11:50 for birth to 6 months, 12:10 for birth to 13 months. We also occasionally run
Newborn to 1 years
Classes run on a block booking basis at the cost of £9.75 per numbers of sessions in the term. Three week trials available for £25 if you are new to us. Pay As You Go available subject to availability for £10.75 per session.

Meet Kylie Humpleby
Hi, everyone! I'm Kylie and I am the Owner and Class Leader at Baby Sensory Southampton Central. Baby Sensory has been a huge part of my life since 2015 when I first attended with my daughter and fell in love with the classes! They were our favourite activity and for me were a lifeline in those tough early days. I returned to classes with my son in 2017 to do it all again. After my maternity leave, having been made redundant from working in Banking for 12 years, I became a Class Assistant in 2018, then trained as a Class Leader in 2022 and as of August 2024 I am the Owner of the Southampton Central Territory. I have met so many wonderful parents and babies over the past seven years and can't wait to meet more in the future. And I am so proud of the community built since I took on the business as my own! I drive to and from work with a huge smile on my face every work day so when the opportunity arose to start my own classes I jumped at the chance. Baby Sensory is an absolute joy. I love delivering the activities, seeing the interaction between the families in class, seeing the babies develop and grow, as well as singing all of the songs and finding any chance to wear some jazzy leggings that fit a theme. I am so proud to be part of the programme that has created countless memories for many families including my own. I look forward to meeting you all!
