At babyballet, we make learning to dance an unforgettable and magical experience – for you and your little star. From six months to six years, our babyballet classes will give your child the chance to dance, gain confidence and shine, in a fun, caring and supportive environment.
At babyballet, we offer four stages of ballet dance classes, for young children aged 6 months to 6 years, plus a tap dancing class for children over 3 years.
Our classes are a great way for parents and carers to meet up and make new friends too!

By learning through play, our qualified and welcoming teachers give babies, tots, toddlers, pre-schoolers and young children the chance to dance in their own unique way, having fun and making friends along the way. For your added reassurance, all our ballet lessons are linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFSF), making them the perfect activity choice for you and your child.
From 6 months the class is a very gentle introduction to the class environment. As the syllabus progresses the children in Tinies (18 months to 3 years) are encouraged to develop their movement and communication skills on their own but still with their grown-up close by. The basics of ballet are introduced through bespoke babyballet® songs, classic nursery rhymes, imaginative stories and musical instruments.
Our programme and syllabus has been carefully designed by leading preschool dance and ballet experts. Our classes provide the opportunity for babies and young children to learn to dance and develop key life skills in a healthy, sociable, caring and safe environment. babyballet is so much more than just a dance class and we can't wait to welcome you to our magical world.

Meet Claire Woodford
Miss Claire – Bournemouth and Poole Franchisee
Miss Claire started up babyballet® Bournemouth and Poole in January 2012.
With a background in dancing and acting she felt it was a natural progression to move into teaching and pass on her knowledge to the children of Bournemouth and Poole (Miss Claire’s hometown)
Miss Claire began dancing at the tender age of 3 herself here in Bournemouth! She loved it so much that she never gave up. At 18 years old she was accepted into the Prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts where she completed a 3 year course in performing arts. After graduating she was lucky enough to travel the world dancing on Cruise Ships and in Cabarets and Pantomimes. A keen actress she also performed in many plays which took her to many interesting places around the U.K and the World.
