Free Saturday Forest School & Nature Conservation activities aimed at families with young children. Run by charity Nature Vibezzz (school term time only) with experienced, qualified, DBS checked Forest School Leaders. Activitiies are as strenuous or as easy as you make it: you can pick litter, pull ivy or clear heavy scrub, it’s up to you. Nobody tells you what to do; it’s a case of turning up, chatting to the others to see what they’re doing, and pitching in. The kids either play, or help out if they choose to. Knights Hill Woods is near new West Norwood Fire Station.

Meet Douglas Saucedo Anez & John Cannell
Douglas Saucedo Anez
Has a BTEC qualification as a Forest School Leader Level 3, a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce; he has a background in Business and Marketing, Early Years Development and in Traditional African Storytelling and Bush-craft.
Douglas has exclusively worked as a Forest School Leader for the past 3 years in Primary Schools, Nurseries and Children’s Centre in Lambeth providing Forest School programs, transforming Dad’s groups and Stay and Play sessions into outdoor Forest School opportunities and has organized and developed Forest School for Community Groups, Local Environmental Projects, Natural Education Steering Groups and actively participates in the Forest School Association.
John Cannell
Qualified BTEC Level 3 Forest School Leader, has 10 years experience of developing, managing and delivering successful environmental community projects. Including fundraising, PR, networking, managing volunteers & staff. During his career he has had various horticultural, environmental education and nature conservation roles at a wide range of charities and not for profit companies.
He has worked in partnership with a variety of different organisations developing and running activities for a wide range of beneficiaries, delivering nature focused and horticultural activities that both increases individual participants skills and confidence, with many activities also benefiting local communities and wildlife.
