Description

We are Laura and Scarlett, two musicians on a mission to get more children to learn piano and fall in love with music.

What makes us different?

Our lessons are taught in small groups (3-6 children), fostering a sociable and supportive environment, where every child's progress is celebrated.

We teach using fun methods and games, and encourage creativity and performance, which helps to build a child's confidence and spark a lifelong affinity with music. Each child learns on their own 61-key keyboard and during the class, we practise using music kids know and love. The result? A child that actually WANTS to learn.

What's coming up?

Our Introduction to Piano 8-week course is now open for bookings for January. Carefully designed for children aged 6-10, this progressive course introduces the musical alphabet, foundational theory components, and four power chords. By the end of the course, we strive for students to play simple songs - including a tune with both hands - understand the basics of composition and accompany themselves singing!

Other Info

"A wonderful start to piano! The two teachers were incredibly attentive and sweet with all the children. They really made sure that every child understood the concepts before moving on, which was fantastic. It was clear they cared deeply about each student's progress and well-being. My son was excited about what he would next learn. We recommend it for any parent looking for a gentle and encouraging introduction to piano for their child." - Parent Testimonial

Laura and Scarlett

Meet Laura Murray and Scarlett Neville

Laura and Scarlett are two trained pianists and mums of two, who met at NCT back in 2022.

Laura is a communications practitioner, with a degree in History and a Master’s in Social Sciences. She learnt to play the piano growing up and reached Grade 8 in practical and Grade 5 in theory during her teenage years. In recent years, Laura loves practising new songs, finds joy in revisiting old music, and has recently been expanding her repertoire by playing nursery rhymes on the xylophone for her toddler.

Scarlett is a technical writer, with a degree in Law. She is also a former professional singer and pianist, but favoured a more informal style of learning, where she taught herself how to improvise piano accompaniments for her singing. In recent years, she enjoys playing and singing for her toddler and hopes one day to teach her to love the piano.
