Music Makers is a fun music and movement groups for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. We use a mix of traditional songs and rhymes with some funky original songs to, that are sure to get you and your little one singing along too!
Music is really key in supporting the development of early language skills and dancing and moving to music helps develop those all important motor skills. Not to mention the benefits music can have for the wellbeing of you both!
Throughout our sessions we use a selection of simple percussion instruments and other props, such as ribbons, scarves, puppets and bubbles so there is plenty for your little one to get involved in! You can either buy one of our personal music kits or bring along some instruments from home to use as you take part.

Meet Jenni Drewery
I qualified as a teacher back in 2005 and specialised in teaching in the Early Years for the next eight years. Throughout this period, I developed a real passion for understanding and promoting early language development and also for nurturing creativity in young children. I then went on to train and qualify as a school Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo), which presented a further opportunity for me to learn more about the world of early language and communication skills.
After 14 rewarding years teaching in primary schools from Yorkshire, to Cambridgeshire and finally, East Northamptonshire, the opportunity to follow a new and exciting path came along and I took over the reins of Music Makers Northants in July 2019. I have two young children of my own, both of which came along to and loved Music Makers sessions, and I know just how important music, movement and the shared enjoyment of these have been to me and my family.
It is now my mission to continue to bring Music Makers fun to other families with young children and to share our love of music, singing, dancing and meeting new friends!
