Woodland Play Patch is an all wooden indoor play space designed with all wooden toys. We encourage open ended and imaginative play with our beautiful Pikler frame and array of wooden resources.
We have a designated baby space, perfect for new borns with an open plan toddler space, allowing for role play, gross motor skills, fine motor skills and many more.
Before lockdown, we placed emphasis on mother’s mental health and provided coffee mornings a twice a month to support mums in building new friendship, socialising and opening up about the difficulties of parenting.
We are an breast feeding friendly cafe and will support all mums with any issues they need assistant with.

Meet Sophie
Hello,
I am a mum to now three year old Avery. We opened Woodland Play Patch in September 2019 and we open 6 months before we closed due to Covid 19.
My husband and I, had wanted to unique play space, after giving birth to Avery and realising I was very limited with places I could take him to get out the house.
At the time, most play spaces were aimed at older children and didn’t have a suitable space for babies. I struggled with social anxiety and relied on my friends with other children to get me out of the house. I wished there were more places available then, more groups and sessions that I could have attended to help me socially when he was tiny which is why we decided to created Woodland Play Patch.
As a household, we are fans of wooden toys and wanted to create a unique space, which was quiet from noisy toys and music and would allow the little ones to use their imagination with the toys that were surrounding them.
We have received such great feedback from our families that attend regularly and cannot wait time re-open our doors when it is safe to do.
