The Mini Movement is an award-winning baby and toddler group running developmental and sensory classes, toddler ballet and mummy fitness classes across South Wales.
The Mini Movement aims to help your baby achieve key developmental milestones in a fun and exciting class centred around sensory play, dance and music. Our educational and unique curriculum is designed by our paediatric physiotherapist and dance teacher and centres around our ethos:
‘Creating magic through movement’
Our baby and toddler groups use a range of techniques to help facilitate your child’s gross and fine motor skills and sensory development. Teach your baby how to roll, sit up, stand, crawl and walk (and lots more!).
Help your baby or toddler learn about the world around them through sensory stimulation, light shows, music, dance, baby massage, props and more. Our Intermediate and Graduate classes also help toddlers build friendships, develop social skills and confidence through imaginative play, music and dance.
Our class themes change regularly to stimulate your baby and let your child explore new skills whilst learning about the world around them. Fun and popular themes include Under the Sea, Summer, Jungle, Around the World and more!
For new mums, join our postpartum dance fitness classes designed by a physiotherapist and dance teacher: Mummy Fitness, focusing on safely easing you back into fitness in a fun, enjoyable and no-pressure environment. Open to all mums and babies (no baby age limit!) Mummy Fitness combines effective dance exercise with baby bonding. Some of the dances are designed for you to be holding your baby if you choose OR if your baby is too big you can dance without or use a weight instead!
We can't wait to welcome you to our unique and magical Mini Movement classes!
The Mini Movement also run themed children's parties with princess appearances! Contact us to find out more about our special party packages.

Meet Beth Darlington and Francesca Jandrell
Beth has over 10 years of experience working as a paediatric physiotherapist in the NHS and private sector.
She has a particular interest in infant development and ‘early years’. Starting from birth, children develop brain neural connections through their everyday experiences and her experience has taught her that these are escalated through positive interactions with their parents and caregivers and by using their senses to interact with the world.
The relationship between gross motor development, sensory integration and learning through play continues to fascinate and amaze her and she has a real passion for bringing these elements to The Mini Movement curriculum.
Francesca is the Dance Principal of the successful FJ Dance Company, running a variety of dance classes for children aged 3-18yrs in Dinas Powys.
She also runs dance fitness classes for adults and performs professionally in a variety of shows and events around South Wales. Francesca enjoys all styles of dance with a passion for the performance aspect, which she hopes to pass on to all her students in a fun, safe and nurturing environment.
Francesca uses her dance expertise, along with support from Beth’s physiotherapy background, to create a fun and safe syllabus for our popular Mummy Fitness sessions.
