Lisa and Dawn Rhodes
Hi, we are Lisa and Dawn, aka the new Mrs and Mrs Toddler Sense Cardiff East! We have been married for 3 years and worked together in a primary school for 18 years! We have two daughters, two son-in laws, a granddaughter, a grandson and 3 family dogs, oh and not forgetting a campervan! Life is very busy but lots of fun!
We are so excited to be the new franchisees of Toddler Sense Cardiff East. It has always been a dream of ours to work together in a field we both feel so passionate about. When the opportunity came up to bring Toddler Sense to Cardiff, we knew it was the adventure we were waiting for.

A bit more about Lisa…
I have worked in schools for over 20 years as a Senior Teaching Assistant, mostly in Nursery and Early Years – and I’ve always had a real passion for supporting little ones as they grow and learn. During that time, I also completed training in Speech and Language support and British Sign Language, which gave me even more tools to connect with and support children of all abilities.
After two decades in the classroom, I decided it was time for a new chapter. I left my role to spend more time with my growing family – especially my grandchildren – and to explore new adventures that still let me do what I love: working with young children.
That’s when we discovered Toddler Sense – and now I’m thrilled to be running my own franchise with my wife! It’s such a fun, energetic, and rewarding way to support early development, and I love creating exciting sessions full of learning, laughter, and sensory magic. Whether I’m reading a story, singing a silly song, or setting up a mini adventure, I’m right where I belong – helping little ones grow through play!

A bit more about Dawn…
For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to work with children. I studied an Education Degree at University and then went on to do my teacher training. I have spent the last 22 years working as a teacher, Early Years Leader and Assistant Headteacher, supporting children and their families through some of the most important years of their early school life. Whilst I love teaching, I was ready for a new adventure – one that still allowed me to do what I love most; helping little ones grow, learn and develop new skills in a fun and nurturing environment.
Toddler Sense felt like the perfect fit for us. I can bring my experience, passion and enthusiasm for early childhood development into every session, creating magical experiences where toddlers can explore, play and discover the world around them.

We are really looking forward to meeting you and your wonderful toddlers as we make lots of happy memories together.
