MagiKats offers out of school maths and English tuition for students from pre-school to leaving school. Our small group approach allows for 1-2-1 support when needed, in a nurturing environment where every child is helped to achieve their full potential. It’s more than just tutoring though – all our workshops help kids develop study skills, thinking skills and problem solving skills – and some centres even offer a Reasoning programme to help develop both verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills.

With such a long break from formal schooling, we are expecting our students to return with some gaps in their knowledge. We also expect them to need to rebuild good study habits and to get back “into the swing” of learning. We are ready to help and really excited to get back to what we love – face to face! We are also launching some brand new materials and have adapted our approach to ensure that our multi-sensory approach to learning can continue, but safely.

We have been operating in the last few months, with online workshops and print at home study packs, but we are delighted to now be re-opening our face to face workshops. We have worked to ensure every venue is COVID secure, with comprehensive risk assessments and staff training to ensure every mentor and child is kept as safe as possible whilst they are with us.

Steps include additional cleaning, lots of reminders about hand washing and “catch it, kill it, bin it”, and individual study packs. For now, our centres remain a “parent free zone” so that we can minimise adult to adult contact – but we are always happy to chat on the phone to give our parents updates!
