During the school summer holidays, school aged children are invited to join free music making workshops in Woking in Surrey.

The Holiday Music Hub is hosted by Intergenerational Music Making (IMM) which brings generations and communities together across the UK to connect through the power of music.

Children from 3-18 are invited to join care home residents and people from across the community for a fun and empowering morning every week. Each session will be shaped by the participants and will include song writing, arts and crafts and music and movement. A celebration event will take place in the final week.

The Intergenerational Music Making Hub will run from 10am – 12pm every week throughout the summer holidays from Thursday 28th July – Thursday 25th August. Children under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult and parents will be invited to the celebration event at the end.

We use music as a vessel to bring people together to reduce loneliness and isolation and improve mental and physical well-being, which is even more important post-pandemic. Our holiday music hub is going to be so much fun and we are really looking forward to welcoming children down. Each session will be co-produced by our facilitators and the participants shaped around their interests - meaning every week will be unique.”
