Meet Gemma Thomas-Irlam
Hello, I'm Gemma, and I'm not only a passionate dancer and early years professional, but I'm also the driving force behind Tappy Toes Manchester and its surrounding areas.
My journey into the world of dance commenced at the age of 5 when I embarked on ballet and tap lessons. As time went on, I eagerly embraced disco and rock and roll. My school years were marked by an unwavering dedication to dance and I cherished every moment spent participating in dance shows.
Upon completing my early childhood degree at Manchester Metropolitan University, I decided to follow my true calling: working with children. I entered the realm of primary education, and my commitment and vision led to the successful establishment of a private day nursery within a local independent school. This nursery swiftly gained recognition and popularity.
In addition to my love for dance and early childhood education, I hold the FA Level One football coaching certificate. On weekends, you will often find me on the football field with my 4 boys, where I share my enthusiasm for both dance and football with the next generation.
I'm absolutely thrilled to combine my previous experiences with the fantastic Tappy Toes dance syllabus, and I can't wait to implement the joy of dance, movement, and music to the babies, toddlers, and young children of Manchester.
