Meet Jacqueline Cadger
Dramatix club was founded by Jacqueline Cadger in February 2016. Jacqueline attended drama classes as a child and participated in Scottish youth theatre in 1999 and 2000. She went on to study performing arts at Aberdeen college and gained a BA (hons) in Drama at City of Sunderland University in 2006.
Since obtaining her degree she has delivered workshops for Aberdeenshire council and worked with singers to develop confidence at the British school of Pop Music. Jacqueline was part of the first UK team to participate in the yearly winter/summer institute program in Lesotho South Africa. The project brought groups together from the UK, Lesotho, Johannesburg, and USA to devise a piece of drama raising awareness of HIV/AIDS.
Jacqueline spent several years working for the City of Sunderland YMCA helping homeless youths to develop skills allowing them to return to education or enter employment. During that period she gained a level 2 in youth and community studies. She was also 1 of 5 in the UK to be selected to attend the Global Pan European Global Youth Work Advanced Course delivered by Y Care International. She completed further studies and qualified with a PGCE in post compulsory education training.
Jacqueline lived in Hanoi, Vietnam from 2012-2015. There she ran the Helen O Grady drama programme for local and foreign students. She was appointed secretary for the board of Hanoi International Theatre Society and regularly produced, directed, or acted in their productions.
Since returning to the UK Jacqueline has used her passion for drama and education to create fun, interactive, and imaginative classes for children in the Aberdeenshire and Angus area.
