Music with Mummy (and Jolly Babies) is a structured programme of pre-school music education designed specifically for children under the age of 3.

These are such lovely classes, and are a fantastic place for even very young babies to come to, as it encourages their early listening skills and promotes a routine at the same time.

In Jolly Babies, all classes are structured and follow a pattern each week that they become accustomed to. I swap in a few new songs each week, but the majority stay the same so that the babies feel safe in their environment, knowing what is coming next (and mummies can learn them well enough to sing at home too!)

Music with Mummy follows a 'theme' each term, which is designed for children to feel secure in their environment, learn and enjoy new songs and develop essential skills through role play. Recent themes have been 'Home' and 'Good Manners'.

During each session nursery rhymes (new and old) are sung, mini percussion played (even the very young babies can grasp a shaker with their mummies help!), basic musical concepts explored (high, low, stop start, loud, soft), dances danced & colourful props discovered, ensuring that the children and their parents or other important person have a really enjoyable half hour or so. As well as having fun and exploring basic musical concepts, my classes are great for aiding speech, confidence, turn taking, sharing & listening skills.
