Welcome to Mini Professors, the first scientific program that has been specifically designed for preschool children.
Our 45 minute themed sessions make science fun and enjoyable for preschool children. We offer 80 different topics, over 2 years, so your child has the opportunity to learn something new each week! We cover a wide range of topics from germs to chromatography or making clouds. As well as all time favourites, such as, space and dinosaurs.
Each session has 2 hands on experiments, a specific story and a 2 minutes bespoke video about the topic of the week. It's lots of fun and usually parents have a "I didn't know that" moment too!
Our Mini Professors get to wear their own mini lab coats and get to learn the basics of science experimentation, whilst having loads of fun and get stuck in.
The children love to get involved in the experiments and its a great opportunity for them to prepare for preschool and school. We always encourage the parents to join in too and continue the learning experience at home.

Meet Toni Smith
My name is Professor Toni and I have the pleasure of running your Mini Professor sessions. I have attended Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense as a mum with my 4-year-old and my 1-year-old. I love attending these classes with my little ones and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to run my own sessions.
I have a range of child education experience including primary school teaching and being a nursery practitioner. I started my career as a special educational needs teacher, before moving into primary schools. I was a supply teacher alongside being a class leader for Baby Sensory. Finally, I became a Nursery Practitioner. I have worked with children and young people between the ages of birth to 16.
Now, I am so excited to take on a new challenge. I am so pleased to be bringing Mini Professors to North Cornwall.
