Theatretrain is a leading performing arts school, offering high-quality training in acting, singing and dancing for children and teenagers in a fun, supportive and inspiring environment. Our weekend classes help young people build confidence, creativity, communication skills and self-belief whilst developing strong performance techniques.
Students at Theatretrain regularly take part in exciting live theatre productions, gaining real stage experience in professional venues and working as part of a team to create unforgettable performances. Every child has the opportunity to perform, helping them grow in confidence both on and off the stage.
If you are looking for children’s drama classes in, musical theatre training, or a trusted local performing arts school near you, Theatretrain provides expert tuition and a positive community where young people can thrive, make friends and discover their potential through the performing arts.
It’s more than just a drama club — children aged from around 5 up to their teens can take part in fun, weekly sessions that combine acting, singing and dancing in an encouraging, inclusive environment. These classes help young performers develop performance skills, teamwork and self‑confidence while having fun and making friends. The Cringleford sessions (often called Theatretrain Express) are held during the week at Cringleford Primary School and are ideal for families who might not be able to attend the longer Saturday sessions elsewhere in Norwich. The company also gives students the chance to work toward larger performances and sometimes perform in notable venues, building real stage experience.
At Theatretrain students also benefit from a range of exciting additional opportunities beyond their weekly training. We regularly host West End–style workshops, stage combat sessions and provide frequent performance opportunities throughout the year, helping pupils build confidence and gain valuable practical experience.
Our students also have the chance to take part in exclusive workshops with Goldmans Management, our chosen theatrical agency, offering professional insight into the industry along with guidance on screen acting and headshots. These experiences give pupils a deeper understanding of the performing arts world and help support those interested in pursuing future opportunities on stage or screen
