Wanting something a little different to keep your children entertained this summer? Then Mini Athletics Summer Camps are exactly what you’ve been looking for.
We are offering 6 days of themed fun, games, arts and crafts, mindfulness, movement and more.
Each day starts with a calm welcoming activity where the children can settle in, meet each other and we can talk over allergies/medical history or special requirements. We then start our first mini athletics session, this will involve movement and throwing games all based on our daily theme - you don’t have to be sporty to love these sessions, they’re carefully designed for all abilities and fitness levels and cleverly use imaginative play to disguise the exercise. We then have a break for a snack (brought from home) and move onto our first arts and crafts session, linked to our theme and resulting in something awesome to take home. We then have a go at an athletics event (think javelin or discuss or long jump) and record our personal bests. Lunchtime follows (again brought from home) with time for free play.
Our afternoon begins with some theme based multi sports. Again, you don’t need to be sporty to love this opportunity to move while playing. We finish this session on the podium and celebrate each others successes. Our afternoon finishes with an arty well-being activity and a story to ground and calm us after an energetic day of fun.

As a mum of 2 young girls myself I know how important it is to find an activity that keeps a child’s attention while letting them move and be themselves and these camps do just that. Our aim is for each child to be celebrated in a nurturing and safe environment. We have intentionally kept the classes small and for the reception to year 3 age group to ensure we can offer this.
