Theatretrain is a leading performing arts school, offering high-quality training in acting, singing and dancing for children and teenagers in a fun, supportive and inspiring environment. Our weekend classes help young people build confidence, creativity, communication skills and self-belief whilst developing strong performance techniques.
Students at Theatretrain regularly take part in exciting live theatre productions, gaining real stage experience in professional venues and working as part of a team to create unforgettable performances. At Theatretrain students also benefit from a range of exciting additional opportunities beyond their weekly training. We regularly host West End–style workshops, stage combat sessions and provide frequent performance opportunities throughout the year, helping pupils build confidence and gain valuable practical experience.
Our students also have the chance to take part in exclusive workshops with Goldmans Management, our chosen theatrical agency, offering professional insight into the industry along with guidance on screen acting and headshots. These experiences give pupils a deeper understanding of the performing arts world and help support those interested in pursuing future opportunities on stage or screen
Saturdays at 10:00
We run on Saturday mornings from 10am-1pm (Main Company: 6-18yrs) and 10am - 11.30am (Minis: 4-5yrs). Classes run during term-time and include half term weeks. We take a break for Easter, Christmas and the Summer holidays.

Meet Jen and Sian
Hi! We are Jen and Sian and we are the Company Directors here at Theatretrain Northampton, where our job is to ensure your children are enjoying their professional theatre training in a fun and creative way.
We strive to make our company a welcoming and inclusive place where our students are encouraged to be themselves, learn new skills and grow and develop as performers and people As well as overseeing the company, we also teach. We became Company Directors in 2016.
Sian has been a dance teacher at Theatretrain Northampton since 2008. A trained dancer, she has been performing since a young age. Sian also runs a successful salon in Northampton. She has two daughters.
Jen is a drama practitioner and has been at Theatretrain Northampton since 2005. She works with local theatres, schools and communities, using drama to build confidence and wellbeing, as well as working on small and large scale performances. She has a son and a daughter.
We're always ready for a new and exciting challenge. Come and join us and be part of the fun.
