Meet Megan Carton
Megan hails from Mullingar, Ireland, and began her journey in the performing arts there from a young age. She studied Dance and Musical Theatre at Energy Plus Studios, Classical Singing under Dervla Conlon, and Acting at the Gaiety School of Acting. She later went on to study full-time at Musical Theatre Ireland, and then in the U.K. at the Centre Performing Arts College, where she gained a Diploma in Theatre Performance. She has always been a passionate teacher alongside a performer, and has gained many teaching qualifications and over ten years’ experience passing on her knowledge to young people of all ages. Megan’s professional theatre credits include: Jennifer in When Midnight Strikes, Irish Premier. Demeter in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s CATS. Jennyanydots in CATS. Ger in Sisters, a New Irish Musical. In addition, she has directed a number of her own concerts and children’s theatre productions. Megan believes firmly that every child deserves the opportunity to have a great education in the performing arts; to have fun learning skills they can use in many aspects of life, and also to have the foundation to pursue it as a career if they wish. That is why she is so excited to be launching her very own Make Believe School. She says ‘’It is an exciting opportunity for me personally, and for the community. I have a clear vision, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.’’
