Meet Group 64 Youth Theatre
Group 64 is a registered charity and was set up in 1964.
We are a Young People's Theatre Company based in the heart of Putney, Wandsworth. We are very lucky and proud to be a resident company at Putney Arts Theatre, this means all our classes take place on a real stage!
We focus on empowering young people and ensuring their voices are valued and heard, through a creative and safe environment, and make theatre for and by young people.
Our emphasis is on creative engagement and sparking the imagination, whilst developing theatre making and performance skills, both onstage and off.
We run weekly drama classes for ages 4-19, holiday projects, and opportunities to be involved in performance, directing and technical theatre. We also have an education department and a graduate company called Little Echo.
We believe drama activities should be available to every young person, we can offer assisted places and extra support in classes and shows. We open our doors to everyone!
Group 64 is run by Youth Director- Stacey Burt, Education and Young Company Director - Nicola Sterry, along with a brilliant team of tutors, who work together to ensure every young person has a wonderful time at Group 64.
The charity is run by a team of Trustees, chaired by Bryan Raven.
