In this workshop, students explore basic electronics by learning about components such as LEDs, bulbs, vibration motors, and sensors.
They are guided step by step on how to connect components and build simple electrical circuits. Students then apply these skills in hands-on projects, such as creating a smart street lighting system where sensors detect conditions and automatically turn lights on and off.
This workshop helps students connect school science concepts with real-world applications and develop problem-solving and creative thinking skills.

Meet Matris Robotic
Matris Robotic is a London-based educational Academy founded by university lecturers and robotics researchers. We specialise in teaching Robotics, Coding, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to children aged 5–16.
Since 2012, we have been at the forefront of robotics and coding education, designing engaging and comprehensive curricula that inspire pupils to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Our programmes are delivered both in schools and to individual learners, making advanced technology education accessible to all.
At Matris, we harness the excitement of robotics to spark curiosity and creativity. Our unique teaching method seamlessly integrates programming, and robotic systems, giving students a holistic understanding of how these fields connect and work together.
At Matris Robotic, children have fun while building their own robots and games. They learn to design, construct, and experiment with their creations, using play and problem-solving to tackle real-world challenges. This hands-on experience nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork, helping to shape the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.
Our unique educational approach blends fun, competition and play making learning both exciting and impactful.
