Meet Annette Peterson
Hi, my name is Annette Peterson and I am the driver of the Number Train concept.
Originally from Coventry, I first came to Leeds to study Maths and Management at Leeds University back in 1996. Following my graduation, I trained to be a primary school teacher at Warwick University and went on to teach hundreds of children across the primary age-range in three outstanding primary schools.
After teaching for a few years in Coventry and Brixton, I ventured back to Leeds and became a Maths Coordinator before starting a family. Fourteen years later, and I am now the proud mother of two gorgeous boys, aged 6 nd 8, who keep me busy and entertained!
After leaving teaching in 2016, I started my Number Train journey. I was a stay a home mum for a year (2016-17), with my eldest in Year 1 and my youngest at preschool.
During this year we attended many toddler classes together and loved them all. However, I knew i was fortunate to have the time to do a few and working parents are not always able to do them all. Therefore i decided to set up a 'one stop shop' for preschoolers covering all sorts of skills but with an underlying focus on maths - that is my area of expertise and passion after all!
