Learn to communicate with your baby through baby signing!
Classes are suitable from birth to 2 years for all children before they have developed full spoken language.
Each class lasts for one hour. We sing and sign to popular nursery rhymes, learning signs that will be useful for everyday life with your little one, we do 'walkabout' songs, enjoy exciting developmental activities together and play with musical instruments.
The class also provides time for the adults to make some new friends and chat with me to support their learning.
Each lesson is different with a structured plan (though the classes are very relaxed!) so that throughout the course of the year you will learn up to 150 British Sign Language signs that are appropriate to the needs and wants of your child.
Baby sign language is proven to develop early verbal communication and reduce frustrations between baby and parent.
Help your toddler develop their communication skills with signs, language games, sensory activities and fun!
Enjoy singing and instruments, signing and talking and plenty of energetic, interactive play, promoting learning and curiosity.
Have fun with storytelling, mirrors, bubbles and role-play to help language development, early literacy skills plus fine and gross motor skills.
The class also provides time for the adults to make some new friends and chat with me to support their learning.
Guide your toddler through those next steps and developmental milestones, building up their confidence and strengthening their social skills.
The TinyTalk TV classes follow the same format as our in-person classes but you do it in your living room while I give you ideas and activities you can do with your little one while having lots of fun.
I would love to hear from you if you are interested to know more about joining our class. Email me or contact us through Facebook at the 'TinyTalk Mole Valley' page.

Meet Katherine
Having enjoyed TinyTalk classes as a parent and signed with my own two babies, I wanted to help other families in my area benefit in the same way.
My daughter was 3 months old when we started TinyTalk classes. This gave me a chance to learn many of the key signs myself and to incorporate them into our home routines before Lorna was actually able to sign to me. She started signing before she was 7 months though and I felt that starting early was worthwhile for us.
As I had already signed with my daughter, I started signing to my son as soon as he was focusing on me at a few weeks old. He was just over 5 months old when I began taking him to TinyTalk classes but was signing himself within a month of that.
I have found it really fulfilling to understand him from such an early age. Not only could he communicate to me that he wanted milk, food, a drink, or bed but I also got very early insights into what else he was aware of; he signed 'windy' to me when the trolley was stopped under the air-conditioning unit in a shop, and for months responded to my enquiries about his dirty nappies by signing 'dog'; jokingly trying to shift the blame for the smell!!!
