Gorgeous, fun, educational, sensory and engaging music classes for your little ones from 3 months to 4 years.
Each 30-minute session is especially designed to help all areas of your child’s development and as well as learning, you will make new friends and enjoy a precious focussed half hour together experiencing the magic of music.
ROCK’N’ROLL
Rock'n'Roll is our class for babies from 3 to 12 months. Expect amazing and magical sounds, pulsing infectious rhythms, lots of cuddling, moving with the music and exciting things to see. We introduce our very youngest children to activities that help with all areas of their development. Watch as your baby plays a drum for the first time with their tiny hand, reaches for an instrument that makes a special sound, giggles when they are lifted up high during our movement sessions.
HEIGH-HO
Heigh-Ho is our class for toddlers aged between 1 and 2 years. On the move and oh so inquisitive. We encourage them to copy actions to our original songs and rhymes. Our clever Monkeys play along with hand-held percussion instruments, experience moving in different ways to different kinds of music, dress up with hats, giggle at our puppets and props. It’s non-stop and it’s high-energy. So much fun for the children and their grown-ups!
JIGGETY-JIG
At Jiggety-Jig, 2 and 3 year olds love to pretend. We join in with songs using our hands, instruments, our imaginations and, with the help of our grown-ups, our voices. Circle dances, stopping and starting, loud and soft, colours, counting, joining in and listening keep everyone busy for the whole class and we finish with a well-earned Time To Sleep cuddle before popping a cloud of bubbles and waving goodbye.
DING-DONG
Our Ding Dong children are aged between 3 and 4 and absolutely amaze us as they learn to play long and short sounds and recognise basic rhythms written down that they demonstrate on a drum. We talk about the Symphony Orchestra and experience real instruments that we get to hold and play. We work hard to encourage our children to use their voice in a warm, caring environment so that when they start school, they have the confidence to speak up in a group, join in, listen to others and carry on with their love of music into Primary School and beyond.
We offer MONTHLY PAYMENTS and FREE CATCH-UP classes (subject to availability) if life takes over and you can't make your usual group. Discount on membership available for groups of 3 or more families that come along together. Our classes are AGE SPECIFIC so your session will be carefully designed to suit your little one's developmental stage. Our talented team of 5 teachers are all trained musicians and performers and together have almost 30 years experience delivering Monkey Music to local families. We run throughout Kingston, Surbiton, Thames Ditton and Long Ditton, Monday to Friday so there are loads of sessions you can choose from. Lots of our venues have free parking and all have toilets and baby change.
Experience our wonderful classes in the fabulous Gallery Space at Rose Theatre, Kingston. With a great on-site cafe and the shops, market, cafes and river close by, Monkey Music can form part of a grand day out for the whole family.
