Founded in 2022, Messy Mayhem is proud to offer messy play sessions for newborns to 5 years old. We believe in the power of encouraging creativity by creating an avid learning environment for babies and young children to explore different textures and tastes, and be creative.
Our mission is to give babies and young children a safe and exciting place to play and express themselves, whilst also creating a community of mums and dads who can get together, have a chat over coffee and cake, feel supported, and make friends for life.
To achieve this, we have a regular space where all the classes run each week, providing familiarity for the babies and children, a minimum of five messy play trays each class, filled with themed play, food, toys, sand, water, paint and more.
We also have a cafe on site where tea, coffee, babycinos, baby and toddler safe and approved snacks, and of course cake!
All we ask from you is you bring a just in case spare change of clothes for your little one as they can get very messy whilst busy exploring.

Meet Katie Sutton
Here at Messy Mayhem, we are proud to present our messy play sessions, ran by Katie Sutton with a background in a diversity of industries. Katie was a qualified swimming teacher for children, before completing her undergraduate degree in Special and Inclusive Education.
Following this Katie went on to complete her postgraduate degree, completing 150 hours of teacher training, working in both mainstream and special needs schools, primarily teaching maths, English and IT as well as life skills.
From there Katie taught in the early years classes, reception and nursery in special needs schools, gaining a great deal of experience working with children and toddlers, and assisting with enabling them to thrive in both education and creativity.
Katie then became a mum to a now beautiful nearly four year old, which has brought it’s own experiences with enabling a child to learn, grow physically, mentally and emotionally, and thrive. Much messy play happened in the making of this nearly four year old!
From Katie at Messy Mayhem, we’re friendly and helpful and eager to provide yourself and your little ones a fun, exciting and relaxed time with us, as well as answer any and all questions you have, so make sure to say hi!
