Description

Sparks Manchester East offers fun, unique and creative filmmaking workshops for children between the ages of 5 and 18.
Sparks filmmaking classes inspire imagination and develop confidence, creativity and skills.
Children and teens will actively engage in all aspects of making their very own films, including directing, photography, screenwriting, acting for camera, editing and costume/set design.
They will try out all crew roles such as director, screenwriter and actor and will work collaboratively on a Sparks film set to produce, edit and take away their very own films.
They will develop their storytelling skills, gain technical skills on how to produce and edit a film and will work on their communication and team working skills whilst making new and like-minded, creative friends along the way!
Sparks Manchester East offers weekly workshops every Saturday as well as 3 day holiday workshops during half term and 5 day holiday workshops during Easter and Summer.

Meet Adele Clarke

I am extremely passionate about the arts and media. I believe film and media is such an integral part of society and provides children with an excellent platform to express themselves creatively, showcase their talents, tell their own stories and build their confidence. I love to see the results of their hard work when a project is complete and to witness how proud they are of their achievements.
I’ve worked in the creative industries for many years. I am also a qualified primary school teacher and love supporting children to discover their talents and develop their skills and imagination. I especially enjoy planning and delivering creative projects with the chance for children to have unbridled creative freedom.
