Welcome to our classesHello, my name is Natalie, I am a mum of two young children and first fell in love with Monkey Music as a parent. I have a background in music, performance, singing, and piano which is something I have always enjoyed from a very young age. CloseMy MSc in Psychology has given me extensive knowledge and expertise in child development, specifically babies and toddlers as well as socialisation in early years and carer-child bonding which Monkey Music classes provide to a high standard.Before entering the Monkey Music family, I spent a few years working in a number of schools around London, Sussex, Hampshire, and Surrey as a teaching assistant where I gained much experience working with children. Most recently, I have worked in maternity wards and as a doula across Hampshire and Sussex extending my experience in carer-child bonding.Having my own children led me to discover the wonder of Monkey Music and their baby and toddler music classes. After having my second child I quickly realised it was a family that I wanted to be a part of. Encompassing my love of music and passion for supporting new families and children has allowed me to bring Monkey Music classes to your community.Every baby and toddler music class at Monkey Music focuses on the child's social, musical and physical development through it's fun, engaging, sensory and interactive curriculum-led lessons and activities. Numerous amounts of research have demonstrated the benefits of music from as young as being in the womb, including neural connections, cognitive, social development and confidence building. Monkey Music classes are structured with this in mind and are progressive with each age-specific stage. Classes involve listening, playing, singing and moving along to original music, ensuring your little one's needs are being met in every class. From 3 months, babies attend our Rock'n'Roll which has an emphasis on bonding through gentle movement, singing, and relaxing songs. From 12 months, children are ready to join Heigh-Ho with more up-tempo music and encouragement to play their own instruments. Pre-schoolers from 2 years of age will be excited about our Jiggety-Jig classes which supports their sense of rhythm, confidence in music playing and concentration. Monkey Music doesn't just benefit your children it allows you to meet and make new friends in your local community whilst sharing precious time together.Having lived in Chichester for most of my life, I have grown to value the local community and family networks. Monkey Music Chichester, Havant & Petersfield was the perfect opportunity for me to combine my love for music and child development, whilst giving back to the community.
