Meet Rachel Ramsay
I’m a mum of two Colourstrings educated children. Seeing the progress they have made in their Colourstrings sessions since they were tiny has given me real insight into the approach and a total belief in the musical and other learning benefits it can give. I now have two budding string players and I’m convinced that their learning has been speeded up by the fabulous musical start they had.
I really enjoy continuing the learning of several of my Colourstrings ‘graduates’ onto the piano. Having done all that groundwork, their level of understanding is far beyond where a beginner pianist might be if they had not had any previous musical experience. I do however, still take on ‘real’ beginners and use singing and movement to help imbed musical concepts before putting them onto the instrument.
Each child takes their own unrushed journey, and I can’t wait to see where they are in a few years’ time. I hope to be part of your child’s journey too.
