Monkey Music’s progressive, four-stage curriculum groups little ones into small age bands to match perfectly with each stage of their early development to give them the very best start. We sing, play, move, dance and make friends (little ones and their adults!) whilst developing our physical, social, emotional, language and communication skills through music, all within a nurturing and stimulating environment. Our weekly, term time classes are structured and action packed with gorgeous props, specialist professional percussion instruments, over 500 of our own original songs, rhymes and games, magical bubbles and lots of smiles and giggles too! Most of all, it’s a lovely way to share precious time with your little one and bundles of fun!
Rock'n'Roll, our first stage for babies from 3 months, is a lovely, gentle class with sensory props and stimulating visual experiences. The emphasis is on using music to bond with your baby whilst providing social, interactive and musical learning experiences for you both.
Heigh-Ho, our second stage for toddlers rising 12 months, is an exciting and up-beat class which gets us in the mood for dancing and expressing with our whole bodies the music that we hear! Monkey’s action songs have been especially written to support your child's early language development, whilst colourful props aid visual memory and repeated actions reinforce a feel for the ‘steady beat’.
In Jiggety-Jig, our third stage for 2 and 3 year olds, composing music comes naturally as we harness our little monkeys’ sense of rhythm! Many of our songs tell stories and encourage imagination as exploration and self-expression builds self-confidence. We use bigger and more exciting props such as hoops and parachutes, which are excellent for sharing and making friends.
