Phonics Bear classes offer an award-winning introduction to learning about letters and sounds through movement, music, crafts, games and stories that are perfect for pre-schoolers and their grown-ups.
Our carefully-planned classes include multi-sensory learning activities that will develop and improve your little ones fine motor skills, gross motor skills, speech, language and listening as they learn about letters and their sounds. Our classes can help to ease your child's transition into school.

Meet Chree Platt
As an Early Years specialist with 30 years of teaching experience in EYFS and KS 1, I have always had a special interest in reading development and the processes involved in learning to read. I have enjoyed being a part of my students’ reading journey throughout my teaching career and with a background in Special Education and Inclusion, I have also supported many students who have struggled with reading to overcome their difficulties and to become confident readers and writers. I believe that an early, fun introduction to Phonics will help children to develop confidence and awareness of letters that will ease their transition into learning at school.
I am really looking forward to running Phonics Bear classes in my area and seeing the children grow in confidence as they learn about letters and their sounds, building a firm foundation for the love of learning and reading.
