A fresh, fun and imaginative new approach to dance classes, from 4 years and upwards.
We theme classes around Musical Theatre and Freestyle, concentrating on different dance styles each term – from Charleston to Bollywood; Street Dance to Contemporary, and so much more.
In class we teach routines, technique and performance skills, but we also
encourage children to develop their own natural style, so freestyle and improvised dancing are always part of the mix.
We run IDTA medal tests and exams in Freestyle and Musical Theatre for those children who want to do this. We also have an annual Charity Dance Competition, as well as our own Grand Performance at the Amey Theatre in Abingdon every July. No-one has to take part in either, but in our experience the children generally love it!
We are proud to be an inclusive dance school. Every child matters to us. Our aim is to bring out children’s own individual expression through dance, and to provide them with a joyous skill they’ll enjoy for life.

Meet Kally Peigne
Mother of two teens and passionate about dance and bringing the joy of dance to as many as possible. Betty Bloom Dance was conceived when my own two children didn't enjoy their dance classes when they were younger and I wondered how this could possibly be! Our ethos is about kids coming to have fun and learning the ability to release their emotions and expressions in dance - letting go in sheer joy! Our motto is that all kids can dance and we work to develop their individuality and creativity. It's not about creating robots but releasing their own individual potential.
