Meet Amanda Nolan
My passion for the performing arts began, aged 5 when I started taking dance lessons, and I soon realised that this was to be my vocational path.
During my school years, I was a regular at the Cambridge dance festival and performed annually at Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal in the Christmas pantomime as part of the junior dance cast. Upon leaving school, I spent three years at the prestigious âLaine Theatre Artsâ in Surrey where I received exceptional training in all aspects of the performing arts. After graduating, I spent the next fifteen years based in London working as a professional performer.
My theatre credits include No 1 UK tours of 'A Chorus Line' and âGreaseâ, a European tour of âThe Rocky Horror Showâ, London runs of âThe Tempestâ & âThe Green Parakeetâ also âThe Entertainerâ & âHamletâ at Norwich Playhouse. Television appearances include two series of 'The Brian Conley Show' (including an appearance on âThe Royal Variety Showâ) over 40 appearances as a recurring character in C4âs 'Brookside' and as a âfeatured artistâ in a number of commercials.
My teaching career began as founder and principal of The Arts Academy, a dance and drama school for students aged 3 - 16 years, teaching over 150 pupils weekly drama and dance classes along with producing, choreographing and directing annual productions.
I have also been co-director of a theatrical agency, representing children and adults in all aspects of the entertainment industry.
