Established in 2005 Science Boffins have inspired over 900,000 kids in over 13,000 events with awesome science experiments and hands on activities bringing science to life for them.
We can entertain at almost any time although the majority of our parties are at the weekends. Typically, we find that the younger children (3's to 6's) are usually better in the mornings when they are at their brightest
Normally we will spend one hour with the youngsters. As they get older we like to be with them for one and a half hours. For the big ones, say from 9 to 12 we will entertain for up to 2 hours.
Experience has shown that it is best to work right through without a break. This way we don't lose the continuity or their concentration. Also often with food comes the dreaded sugar spike. That is why we prefer for them to be fed after the presentation.
We like our young scientist to be between 5 and 12. We don't mind the younger ones being there so long as the parents are there to help with the hands on parts.
Science Boffins are as happy in your home or in a hall. All we need is a table about 4 foot long (1.3m) to put our experiments on and enough room for all the children to sit on the floor. Not that they will be sitting for long! We leave you all clean and dry indoors. Your place will be just as we found it.
